Room with a View

Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving!
We went up to the cabin yesterday. There are still a number of things to be done, but we are getting closer to moving in.
Thought this photo should get everyone thinking about a family reunion at the lake next summer.
Love,
Patti

"...that's what she said"

Just a quick update for everybody, the Moberg's have successfully landed in Florida with the girls and are having a wonderful time. Of course, I'm counting on Kevin to blog all details about their trip. As a added surprise for their trip, Cassie and Nick were going to meet them in Orlando for the day, so I'm really excited (Kevin, that's what she said...) to hear how that went and to hear about the rest of their trip.

Hope everybody had a very Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

The year Guitar Hero almost ruined Thanksgiving...

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! We successfully managed to pull my mom away from guitar hero long enough to ensure the meal was prepared in time. Don't believe me? Check the proof below:)

We spent Thanksgiving at home, and tomorrow will be heading up to move into the main cabin. Don't let that fool you into thinking the project is done! Kitchen counter, basement floor and landscaping are still on the to-be-completed list.

Have a Wonderful Thanksgiving!

Happy belated Birthday Trista!

For Lee & Landon

Someone sent this to Frank, and thought you may enjoy it.

Little Sioux Fan
A family of Bison fans headed to West Acres one Saturday to shop for the youngest boy's birthday.
While in the sports shop the son picks up a Sioux jersey and says to his older sister, "I've decided to become a Sioux fan and I would like this jersey for my birthday."
His big sister is outraged by this and promptly whacks him upside his head and says, "Go talk to mother."
Off goes the little lad with the jersey in hand and finds his mother. "Mom?"
"Yes, son?"
"I've decided I'm going to be a Sioux fan and I would like this jersey for my birthday."
The mother is outraged at this, promptly whacks him around the head and says, "Go talk to your father!"
Off he goes with the Sioux jersey in hand and finds his father.
"Dad?"
"Yes, son?"
"I've decided I'm going to be a Sioux fan and I would like this jersey for my birthday."
The father is outraged and promptly whacks his son in the back of his head and says, "No son of mine is ever going to be seen in THAT!"
About half an hour later they're all back in the car and heading toward home.
The father turns to his son and says "Son, I hope you've learned something today?"
The son says, "Yes, Dad, I have."
"Good!
And what is it you learned?"
The son replies, "I've only been a Sioux fan for an hour and I already hate you Bison b------s!"

CONGRATULATIONS LANDON AND THE ND BISON!

Landon, just thought you'd be interested in knowing that our paper even covered the Bison Win over Cal Poly. Great Game!

Trip to South Dakota

Thought I'd post about Frank's and my trip to South Dakota, before I forget most of it!
We went out Thursday, Frank dropped me off in Howard and he went on to Pierre to hunt.

Karen's dad had died earlier last week and the funeral was Thursday so I was able to see, Bob, Karen, Travis, Rich, Laurie (Todd's significant other) and Taylor (Todd's daughter). I stayed with Bob and Christy.

Lucile, Corlyn and Mary are all fine. I had lunch with Corlyn both Friday and Saturday and visited with Mary for a couple hours each day. Mary's hearing has gotten worse and most have to write while they visit. For some reason, she could understand me and we both enjoyed ourselves.

Tom is said to be doing OK. Guess he was out to hunt the opener, but hasn't been back since. They of course all worry about him being out at his place alone.

Corlyn was able to get around more this summer, thanks to his motor chair. Even made it down to the bar some evenings for a drink. That makes a huge difference when he can get out and about. Of course it's hard on him to think about winter coming.

Lucile keeps her routine of being with Corlyn most of the day, and then back home late afternoon. She had a week's stay in the hospital, but seems to be doing fine now.

Bob and Karen are hanging-in-there, but it is definately hard.

Was brought up-to-date on all their family members and other relatives, and nothing major to report.

Frank had a great time hunting. Everyone got their limit each day and the weather was perfect.

We came back late Saturday night.
