Here are the latest pictures of the cabin construction. Work and volunteering at camp has kept me away from it during August, however everyone else has been spending quite a bit of time up there and seems to enjoy the results of the remodeling process. We're all hoping to make it up for Labor Day weekend to mark the end of summer so I'll be sure to take more photos of the work.

My week of camp was a blast. Despite the 100 degree weather for the first few days, and the rainy weather for the last, a good time was had by all.

Hope everyone is enjoying the last few weeks of summer. I'm looking forward to my senior year, with classes such as canoeing and sports ethics (I know, tough courses) to keep me entertained as I wrap up my requirements for graduation. I know, college life can be tough:)

Built in loft beds... work in progress (we're thinking of changing the design as it currently only sleeps 2 small children, which at the moment we don't need sleeping space for.

Support beam on upper right is what supported the whole cabin and it is resting on only one of the boards....

New inside siding... kitchen is on the left but is currently empty until new cabinets arrive

Lovin' my nieces to pieces!!

Last week, Susan, after a lot of persuading, let me bring the girls to our house for a slumber party. We did so much, I thought I'd share some of the pictures I took of our two days together. I hope the girls had fun, I know I did.

On Monday, I took them to Raging Rivers Waterpark in Mandan.
We went on the tubes down the slides and the lazy river.

They played in the "kiddie" area, where they showed me the skills they learned in swimming class this summer.
Taking a little break from swimming for some cool refreshments. Check out the size of those snow cones.
Hillary and I were being silly. She was a good sport about only having boy's toys in the house to play with though. Arron had cut the sleeves off of one of his t-shirts and we decided they made good headbands.
We played a little "beauty shop" Tuesday morning. The girls were so good about letting me do their hair and nails for them. Jerrett and Arron hardly ever let me do that to them anymore!
For lunch on Tuesday, we went to Space Aliens.

After lunch, we went to Sertoma Amusement Park. The girls played Bankshot and went down the SuperSlide.
After the park, we went back to my house where we made Susan and Kevin keychains and cards for their anniversary.

This was the "I love you" photo we were going to put on the keychains, unfortunately, it didn't fit, but I thought it was cute.

So that was the slumber party weekend at Aunt Cheryl's. Needless to say, I was pretty worn out after all that, but had a really good time.

1 Month Old Yesterday

Give me that pacifer, NOW!!!

Check out the shirt, We had to shut the party down around 3:30 it was getting a little out of hand!!

The chicks flocked when Trae had on his Old Navy hoody!!

Kelli would be proud, his first body boarding experience. Actually it's just tummy time!!

Seriously, how sweet is this picture. This kid has got some pretty good taste!!!

Almost looks like a putting green underneath him?!? Coincidence??

I finally had to take the nintendo remote away and make him go mow the lawn!!

Trae was officially one month old last night. He sure is starting to fill out in his legs arms and face. I was doing so good posting pictures the first two weeks but kind of slowed up a bit lately. Today, Trista's mom, grandma, and aunt came to town to go to the Medora musical. Her aunt was kind enough to leave her 3 boys with us for the night, ages 8, 3, and 11 months. We are now rethinking the idea of how many kids we are going to have. Actually it has been pretty fun, we took them to the comfort inn to swim and even know they had a lot of fun, I think I might have had more. Hope everyone is excited school is starting, i know i am, it means my job is about to get a lot easier. As soon as that first frost comes around and the weeds die, its smooth sailing. Take Care.

Back in the Cities

Just wanted anyone, who may have missed Patti Family posts, to know I am back from the Cabin and back to internet connection.

I was at the Cabin for 11 straight days and there has been progress on the cabin, but I'm not sure if it will ever be done!!! Anna is at the Camp in Iowa for children with cancer, so that explains her lack of posts.

Happy belated birthday's to everyone I've missed. If I'm right, that goes back to anyone who has had one since January 1st.

Kelli, I hope your head is healing!

Kathy, I am glad to see you are able to post. Todd may have to go over and help Terry we will want updates on Robby and his sports. As for the Smith's, I know you are out there. Landon, I have seen some of your pictures on "facebook" (when one of my kids shows me) so I know you can teach your mom how to post on this.

Jake, take the step and get that computer hooked-up at home.

Everyone is fine here.

Todd Johnston

Hi - Just wanted everyone to know that I sent a small bouquet of flowers with a blessed virgin statue in it to the funeral home in Howard. I spoke to the florist in Howard direct & she was going to do a Blue and white bouquet with the statue in it. I also sent a donation of $100.00 from all of us to the "Taylor Johnston Education Fund". That is what the obituary said was the family's wishes. I found the obit by googling Omaha NE Obituaries and then choosing the Omaha Paper. You the click on Obituaries and click on his name. They also have an online guest book if you are interested.

Thats my Boy!!!

here is a great story for everyone to enjoy. This past weekend I had my state softball tournament in Minot. This was our first REAL trip with Trae since he has been born. I now have a new respect for parents and what it actually takes. But here is the funniest thing that has happened in quite a while.

When we got home we took Trae out of his carseat that he had spent numberous hours in over the past 3 days. We laid him on the floor and let him stretch out. As he was laying on the floor i was hovering over the top of him and trying to get his attention. I then asked him, on a scale of 1 to 10 how he would rate his first state tournament experience. Immediately after I asked him this question he crapped his pants loud enough for us to hear. Moral of the story, he either hates Minot or thinks our team is shitty!!! We did make it to the final 8 though so it wasnt all bad.

Two Hints

When you have followed all the steps to get to the box where you type your blog post, you will see two tabs in the upper right corner, one labeled "Edit Html" and the other labeled "Compose." If you'd like to view the toolbar above the box with buttons that let you change the color, size, font, or alignment of your text or to add photos or to spellcheck your writing or to create bulleted lists, etc., be sure to click the "Compose" tab, and it will appear.

Also, I've added a list of family birthdays and anniversaries to remind all of us of one another's upcoming big days! To add your own dates to the list, simply e-mail them to dates@iMoberg.com.

Update from Kathy

Guess what - Todd finally help me get on. For you that are having problems this may help you. When I would put in username & password at beginning I did not get screen with green "+" sign. I would get the original screen but at the top it would say "Click here to continue" underlined and something about wanting to use existing google account also underlined. When you clicked on "Click here to continue" - nothing would happen. The trick - right click on it and highlight "open to new page". On that page I was asked to put password - so I did and again it gave me "Click here to continue" - had to right click again & highlight "open to new page" and I finally got the page with the "+" sign & could follow the direction from Kevin. Hopefully this may help others.

To continue - I am sorry I have not sent this earlier this week but we had the WIGS golf scramble on Thursday and it was pretty crazy for last couple weeks. I am not sure how I got it done when I was working. - Maybe that helped. We had 45 all women teams again this year 180 women golfers (crazy women golfers). Looks like we will net over 1$16,000 again. What a terrific fund raiser it is.

We are also spending time enjoying Trae and getting plans finalized for Tina's wedding in October. Hopefully everyone has heard from their parents - Tina & Craig are getting married October 20th in Las Vegas - it is what she always said she was going to do. We are all going down & Trista and Todd have decided to leave Trae with her mom. Who not surprisingly jumped right at the chance to have him for 4 days - when they called. She told TRista - "I am putting in for time off as soon as I get off the phone." I have gotten to take him a few hours a couple different times now & I love it. It is hard to believe he is over 3 weeks old now & yet it seems like he's been here longer.

Well I rambled on long enough - hope everyone is well.

LOve Kathy

Crazy Wyoming Weekend

Hello all...you will all be proud to know that JJ and I finally invested in a new digital camera. We had one at Lee's wedding but with all of the festivites it managed to end up broken. Finally after doing our research we bought a new one...it is awesome and I would definately recommend it to any of you who in the market for a new camera. It is an Olympus 550 UZ...AWESOME CAMERA.

Anyways...we all ventured to Wyoming for a weekend of fun to and celebrate Mom's birthday which was on Sunday. We were having a great time...enjoying the great weather, warm water, cold beer and campfire. I have attached some pictures for all of you to enjoy. You will be certain to get a kick out of Mom and Scott surfing behind our boat...they both have become quite the pro's at this. As you will be able to tell not quite as good as JJ who is making fun of us all while surfing wearing a goofy helmet and drinking a whole bud light. :)

On Sunday we were all on the boat and everyone was getting ready to call it a day since we still needed to pack up camp and head home. I decided I wanted to wakeboard one last time. Bad decision by me. I ended up having a crazy wreck. Everyone on the boat had thought that I had just took a mean face plant but when they circled back around to pick me up I guess I was laying in the water crying and saying my head hurt. They pulled me up on the back of the boat only to find out that I was bleeding pretty badly from the back of my head. We then had to drive quickly about 50 miles to Rawlins, Wyoming where the doctor determined that I had a 2 inch gash on the back of my head that was deep enough for him to put his finger in. The ran two CAT scans to make sure I hadn't hurt anything too terribly and then used 10 staples to close the wound. In the end I felt terrible for causing mom so much stress on her birthday and she didn't even get to surf again. Bummer day.

Needless to say I am doing well...had a check up today and the my doc says the staples are looking good. She is going to remove them on Monday. The worse part is the nasty ointment JJ is putting on my head every day and causing my hair to feel terrible. I have posted two pictures of the wound...one before the staples and one after. If you have a not sooo strong stomach you might not want to look.

Sorry for the long post...I had lots of details I had to include.

We Still Love Todd

I feel it is important at this time in Todd's life for the family to get behind him, show our support and offer advice. So everyone who is reading this post, Please comment below. Let Todd know we still love him and think he's cute!!!

Advice: How to change Trae's diaper - Spread the diaper in the position of the diamond with you at bat. Then, fold second base down to home and set Trae on the pitcher's mound. Put first base and third together, bring up home plate and pin the three together. Of course, in case of rain, you gotta call the game and start all over again.

New Pics of Trae

Here are some new pictures of Trae, he was two weeks old yesterday. He is doing well and growing as we speak. He is really starting to fill out in his face, arms, and legs. Pretty soon dad and grandpa will have him out on the golf course swinging away. Trista is doing great, at least thats what she says, and has had no problems since Trae was born. Dad is also doing well if anyone was even interested. We have become good at knowing the fact that it is not about us anymore. We are now second and third, respectively, on the important list. Hopefully everyone else's summer is going well, even though the end is getting closer than we would like. I will continue to post pictures as the days and weeks pass. Take care and Have a Great Weekend!!!
