Reunion:)

I just wanted to send a reminder that you should bring a sweatshirt and pair of pants to the cabin. The nights and mornings have been on the chilly side.

The weather forecast is high 70's/80's with night temps around the 50's.

We should have plenty of pillows and blankets for everyone.

I will update this again when my mom thinks of anything else. She is up at the cabin now for the week so you can reach her there if you need to or post on here and I'll pass on the message.

See you all soon!

Kate update

Hi everybody. Christy just E-Mailed me some pictures so I thought I would put them on the blog. As Patty had said earlier, the surgery went fine and the kids got back to Mandan on friday night. Audrey is going to stay until sunday to help out with Mathew and let Christy & Cody get some work done. They have to get up two or three times a night to turn Kate so she does'nt get sores so Audrey can help with that also. It sounds like Kate is adjusting to her confinement pretty well and Audrey said she is getting smiley as ever. I can hardly wait until tomorrow to see them all. We'll hopefully have more news and pictures by the time we get to the cabin. See everyone next week. Love Terry!

I wish I could be there

Hello to everyone. I hope this message finds its way to all of you. Mom gave me instructions on how to do this over the phone, so I hope I do it right. I was just reading up on everyone and I am very sad that I can not make it for the reunion. Fargo is keeping me very busy, and I don't get much time off from work. For those of you that don't know I became the bar manager at the Sidestreet where I have been working the past 4 years. Now my bosses can get me to do all of their work whenever they want. I do love it though, and everyone has been real great while I learn all the management duties. Tori has gotten pretty comfortable with the idea of me being his boss...it definitely makes home life more interesting.

We are both doing well, trying to enjoy the summer while we can. We recently had our first big home renovation project. Tori bought a house a couple years ago, shortly before I moved in. It is an older house and needs a little bit of a face lift. However, Tori thought it would be better if our first project was one that would help get us outside when we do get days off. So we decided to build a deck. Tori's sister and her husband have a deck and fence building company so they took on our project. With it being a family business, we got the family discount on labor costs, but also get put aside when they have other projects. Its been a couple weeks in the making but it is getting closer to done everyday. I included some pictures cause I know m0m has been waiting to see what we have done. If anyone finds themselves in Fargo, you are more then welcome to stop by. We would be more than happy to grill you up something (since the grill made its way to the deck before it was even done!!).

I hope this message finds you all well. I hope the vacation is a good one for all of you, I can't really see it being anything but. I wish Tori and I could be there...maybe next year. I love you and miss you all.

Trae's 1st Birthday!!!

Well its in the books and we survived. Trae is officially 1 and we have every toy that makes noise to prove it. I need to talk to the Guiness Book of World Records but I'm pretty sure we would rank right up there in the category of most toys that make noise. We had a great day and the weather even cooperated. It was about 90 degrees with absolutely no wind (a little would have been nice) but it felt like about 120 degrees. As you can see in the pictures below, Trae thoroughly enjoyed his cake and needed to be pressure washed afterward. Overall, i think everyone had a great time and now its the countdown for number 2. Oh yeah, its also the countdown for Camp-Run-a-Muck. I have been working on my bear communicating skills so patty i think i can talk them into returning at least a couple of those missing hooded sweatshirts. We are looking forward to seeing you all in a couple of weeks. Take care and get those tans ready!!!

Directions to Camp Run-A-Muck - (updated

Directions with estimated miles:

Frank's advice would be to only use Pat's directions in conjunction with a good printed map (on-star and mapquest will try to get you to tour Duluth and Pat could take you on an unwanted tour of Wisconsin!).

I have given the easiest directions for those driving for the first time. Terry, you have been there before, and if you want to come into the cabin another way, I can give you that.

We have seen bear on almost every trip up this summer, so be on the lookout.

For those driving at night, the deer will be bad once you hit two lane roads.

Kelli, I will leave it up to you to get from the Airport to "35E" if you should need help, let me know.

Cell phone service is sporadic so just keep trying at different spots if necessary.

From North Dakota:

East on “Interstate 94” to St. Cloud

Just before St. Cloud connect “MN Highway 23” (North or East, you’ll be traveling North/East)

Stay on “MN Highway 23” until you hit “Interstate 35”
-est. St. Cloud to Interstate 35 70 miles

North on “Interstate 35” a short distance to Hinckley Exit 183

From St. Paul:

Take “Interstate 35E” North to Hinckley Exit 183 (Interstate 35E & 35W become just “35” when you get out of the cities)

For Everyone:

Right turn off Exit 183 onto Eastbound “MN Highway 48” (When you cross the St. Croix River, this Highway will become “WI Highway 77”)

Follow “WI Highway 77” East to Danbury
– Hinckley to Danbury est. 28 miles
(in the Town of Danbury, you will make a left turn and then about two or three miles, you will make a right turn to stay on 77 going East)

Continue on “WI Highway 77” through the town of Minong to “WI Highway 27” North.
-Danbury to Minong est. 30 miles
-Minong to WI Highway 27 est. 18 miles

North on “WI Highway 27” to Pease Road (You will be seeing signs for the Eau Claire Lakes as you come north. Pease Road will be a right turn only.
-est. 16 miles to Pease Rd

Follow Pease Road to Lyndale Bay Rd (This will be a left turn but the street sign will be on the right)
-est. 4 miles to Lyndale Bay Rd

Left onto Lyndale Bay Road and follow it till you see our name.
-est. just under l mile

Gettin my tan ready for the Lake!!

Here is Trae enjoying a nice sunny day in the backyard. He loves the pool and i tried to inform him that when he gets his REAL golf clubs, they will not float like these. He now thinks that being he is one week away from the ripe old age of ONE, that he makes his own decisions. Gee, i wonder which parent he picked that up from. We hope everyone had a good 4th of july weekend and we are itching to get out to Camp-Run-a-Muck. My dad and i are hoping Frank has scoped out some new golf courses to try. See you all in 3 weeks.
Todd

And in the Lead . . .

Look for a moment in the margin to the right. See the section called "LABELS"? Each time you write a post and include one of those in the label box at the bottom of your composing window, that post is added to the total of its corresponding label in that section to the right.

If you would like to catch up on the goings-on of a particular branch of the Morey family, you have only to click on that family's label to the right, and all those posts will be displayed for you. Handy, huh?

By the way, not that anyone in the Morey family is in any way competitive or anything, but does anybody else notice a distinct "lead" in the number of posts by a branch of the family? It looks like some people have some catching up to do . . .

P.S. Camp Run-a-Muck, are you ready for us?!

Happy Belated 4th of July

We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend. We visited our usual hotspot...Seminoe Reservoir and had wonderful weather. The boat club puts on a great fireworks show and we followed it with one of our own.

It is time for the official count down for the family gathering to begin.....21 DAYS...YIPPY!
Love,
Kelli
