HAPPY THANKSGIVING FROM THE GANG!

Hi Everyone,

We hope everyone is going to have a safe andHappy Thansksgiving. We've enjoyed seeing the Halloween pictures on the blog. The kids never sent us any so we'll put these on that Audrey took last weekend. We went down to Bismarck and got the whole gang together for a family picture. The Photographer definetly earned her money. I'll let you know what web site to see them on when they get ready. Everyone take care and we love You.

Halloween

Hello everyone,

Here are a few pictures of our little "monsters." There are also a few other pictures, however, I have yet to figure out how to get them in order -- not real good at this blogging thing. Things are going good for all of us. Jordan continues to get bigger and bigger. He is a good baby and is growing faster than we want him to. Kaden has entered the "twos". Yes, he can be a little angel one minute and the next minute a monster:) He loves Jordan and loves to help -- most days!!??

Lisa and Kyle come home for Halloween. Regan, Payton, and Braxton went elk hunting.

Here is the gang before we head out!

Jordan wondering what his brother is up to now!

Kaden and Grandma!

Here we are with Uncle Landon at the Bison game!

Jordan was a little unsure of what exactly was going on. Can't you tell by the look on his face:)

Kyle as Captain Jack Sparrow!

Kaden wasn't too sure about what to think at first. However, once he realized people would give him candy, he was all game and thought it was a blast!

Kaden the "Bear"

We tried to get a longer video of Kaden saying "trick o treat" but it was too long.
We hope that everyone is doing well. Congratulations to Tina and Craig. Kylan is adorable!
Happy Thanksgiving!
All our love

Update from Patti

I just read/looked at all the new posts.
1) I have never seen a bear at the cabin as cute as Trae
2) Cassie I see you are out there and paying attention, We would all love an update on you and Nick
4) As for those of you who remain silent readers, If Kathy can learn to post, I am sure the rest of you can. Todd, we may have to start some rumors to force them out of hiding to defend themselves?
3) Congratulations Tina and Craig, Kylan is a doll
4) I agree that there are more cute pictures of Trick or Treaters out there, and I'd love to see the pictures
6) Congratulations to the Moberg Stars - I have free time and would love to act as their agent!
5) At the moment, Anna's room looks like Glenda's place

-Everyone in South Dakota is doing fine. Corlyn and Mary look great. Lucile was getting over a bad cold, but seemed to be doing OK.
-I stayed with Bob and Christy. They are doing good. Bob's old place had a fire a few weeks ago in the bowling alley part. Arson is expected since they found empty gas cans and gas signs in the lane gutters. Without that establishment, Howard seems real quiet.
-Don and Joyce came to Lucile's Friday night and their family is the same - busy and happy.
-Tom had arteries in his neck (cleaned/opened?) No problem with first side, then with the second side, they must have hit the vocal cord and did some damage. He can only speak in a soft voice. (Not that he ever spoke in a loud voice).
-I was told Bob and Karen are doing better (getting through the first year is the hardest after a loss). I guess Bob is starting to talk more seriously about retirement.
-The biggest news, is Leo and Jeanette are moving into town. They are building a house on the golf course. I drove by it and it looks very nice. Don't know what the plans are for the farm house.

Now, after reading Kevin's blog about his sister, I have proof that sibling banter never ends. For those of you who are still with me on this long blog and need background. Mary and Lucile are grandma Morey's sisters. Mary is 96 years old and Lucile is 86 years old.
-I'm at Mary's and see an ad for a product to help arthritis pain. Mary says she has used it for years and it works for her. "But, Lucile has tried it and says it doesn't work."
-I try some on my now Arthritic hands and it seems to work.
-The next day, I tell Mary that I'm taking the information on this product because I thought it worked. She smiled and said she was glad, "But don't tell Lucile because she thinks it's a waste of my money."
-I go over to Lucile's and happen to see the same advertisement on her table. I play dumb and ask her if she's ever used the product. She says yes and that she likes it and Corlyn swears by it. "But, don't say anything about it to Mary, because Mary thinks I don't believe in it."
-Of course, when Frank and I stopped to say goodbye to Mary, I had to let Mary in on Lucile's secret. After all, she's 96 years old and the smile it brought to her face was well worth it.

Jake and Pat, I will be sending you each some of this to try on your Toes. Terry I'll send you some for your knees. Anyone else, let me know. Mary says it works on her toes, knees, hands, shoulders, etc. However, she says you have to believe in it before you use it in order for it to work.

Love to everyone,
Patti

A Minnesota Update:)

I figure I should probably join the update bandwagon. I returned from my travels through Europe shortly before Halloween, so just soon enough that I got scheduled for the education portion of the zoo's Halloween event that happens the two weekends before Halloween. Luckily it didn't entail too much, just talking about turtles and reading a story during which a visitor gets dressed up as a frog. I did spend 1 night dressed as a gorilla though greeting visitors as they entered. So by the time Halloween came around, I was all Halloweened out and spent the night catching up with friends. I know things were quiet in terms of trick-or-treaters at the house as well.

I am still at the zoo where I am covering two maternity leaves during the year which means I get to teach classes for school groups, lead tours and of course test my patience during the weekend birthday parties. The best part is it means I get to handle a few more animals other then just the snakes and bugs such as a parrot, Tegu, Chinchilla and armadillo. It's really not THAT exciting, but it is the only exciting thing about the new position so I'll take any excitement I can get:) I am looking forward to being camp director again this summer so I can put off any decision making regarding what it is I really want to do for a little bit longer!

Other news on the home front, John has moved into an apartment in Minneapolis fairly close to Mary's apartment. Joe seems to be enjoying school and says "wud up". My parents are currently out in South Dakota for the weekend - my dad and Nelli are hunting with people from his work and my mom is visiting the relatives out there.

Funny story regarding hunting - my dad spent a weekend in October hunting with the dogs up at the cabin. He saw a few grouse but didn't manage to get any. On Tuesday, when I was up at the cabin, the contractor brought in a dead grouse that had just flown into the side of the cabin (yes the side, not even into the windows!). He cleaned it and sent it home with us so we could brag that the dogs managed to get a grouse without him. The next morning another one flew into the little cabin. So currently the hunting season tally is --> Frank 0..... Cabin 2.

I figured I should share with you the pictures of Glenda's place where we stayed in Dublin since my mom still hasn't gotten over it:)

This is looking at the wall directly across from where we slept

Looking to the right.... If you look closely you can see the door that leads to the rest of the house on the right side of the picture

Looking from the church into the rest of the home

Our beds - I got the bed, Carl had the mattress on the floor
View of the kitchen/living room - we never saw the bottom of the table, sink or counter tops

I am sure my mom will update when she returns with news of how the South Dakota relatives are doing. We're looking forward to a relaxing Thanksgiving here with everyone and my Dad's mom and sister.

Keep the updates coming and have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Pics of Kylan

New Baby's Finally Here!

Well I hope I get this posted correctly. I love reading everyone's contributions so you think I would work harder at knowing how to post myself. Todd tried to help me when they were out for supper, so we will see how it goes. I already know I posted pictures in wrong order, but you only wanted to see them , not worry about order - right? Here is Kylan Arthur Johnson - yes I gave you all the wrong spelling of Kylan - this is how they spell it. Born November 14th, 2008 at 4:18 9 pounds, 1 oz and 20 inches long. As you can see he looks just like his dad. After 30 hours of labor and then having a caesarean Tina is doing quite well. She gave us a little scare right after but everything seems to be doing okay now. From the pictures you can see both grandma & grandpa think he's pretty special and Trae thought he was okay, but not real sure about sharing grandma yet. Hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I enjoy seeing everyone else's and Kelly I pasted on the message about pictures from halloween - I am sure Todd will be getting them on soon. Everyone else please do the same - I agree with Kelly it would be a treat to see the little goblins..

Hope everyone is doing fine - have a great Thanksgiving -

Love
Kathy

Cute Kids visit Patti's House

I think Matthew and Nelli are becoming best buddies.
