As summer is wrapping up quickly I thought I would post a few pictures, especially for the non-facebookers out there. I hope everyone is having a great summer & good luck with the start of the school year next week!

This year we have managed to catch a few fish, but overall we are still seeing more than we are catching. However, large Muskie, Bass, and Northerns have been hanging out by our dock in the evenings, so we'll see if one of us can manage to break Joe's record fish for the summer.

The Volk's made it up to the cabin for a fun few days of swimming, fishing, golfing, and tubing!

Katie tried her hand at golf

That's Matthew in the bunker!

Katie was not interested in tubing behind the boat. I think seeing this may have had something to do with it...
They brought this into the cabin & Katie told Aunt Patti there was a bug inside. She wasn't too thrilled that it ended up being a frog. Later Matthew asked if she would have preferred a bug instead. We told him we wouldn't suggest trying it to find out...

After 2 months in S Sudan, Mary made it back just in time for a trip to the cabin.
And Nathan seem to enjoy his first cabin trip!

Paddleboarding seems to be the preferred activity this summer!

It looks like everyone was having a great time! Matthew I think you should have seen if that frog liked Aunt Patti's bed! Nathan is getting big but I'm not sure if he looks like Matthew or Katie?

But I have to give Patti a high five for getting out there on the paddleboard!

Love to all - miss you lots!
Jake

Maybe I'll get Kelli to post a few pictures from our Alaska trip
