Happy New Year to All!!!

Kaden wearing his Dad's shirt!!!

Trying to escape!!

His basketball hoop he got from Santa!

Happy New Year to everyone! I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas! Aunt Patti asked for some new pictures on Kaden and since we are late getting Christmas cards out (they will be coming) I thought I would post a few pictures and let everyone know what he has been up to.

Kaden is growing like a weed and finding new things to get into everyday:) He loves playing in the toilet and unrolling the toilet paper. If he is not doing that, he is dragging around any garbage can he can find and throwing whatever is in his path into it. He loves the dishwasher and thinks he is fooling Mom when he takes out the silverware and hides them in the cupboard with the pots and pans. Books are his main love! And when he wants you to read --- he means NOW (pretty sure he has got Grandpa's temper!) Brian has even reverted to hiding the books inbetween the cushions so he does not have to read them 8oo times. However, Kaden has now caught on to Dad's trick and goes and looks in the couch to see what he can find. He loves going to see Grandma and Grandpa! He will start clapping when we turn the corner. He has figured out that he gets whatever he wants with them:) He also loves harrassing Copper. Whenever Copper heads into the kitchen, Kaden follows and as soon as Copper turns around and heads to the living room, Kaden starts running as fast as he can to the nearest person because he thinks Copper is after him. He can play this game for hours. (Poor Copper!) He is jabbering all the time and Brian and I are pretty sure that he is telling us off most of the time. He is really starting to mimic what we say, however, he does say a few words on his own. He can say "up" "backpack" if asked what the sheep says, he says "BAAAAAAAAAAAAA" and what does Santa say, he says "OH OH OH" (kinda of a evil sounding Santa). The latest words we are trying to teach him is "big brother!" Yes, you read that right, Kaden is going to be a BIG BROTHER in August! Brian and I are very excited and are trying to slowly get Kaden used to the fact that he will no longer be the center on attention. We figure it is going to be a interesting transition and he might just decide to move in with Grandma and Grandpa FOREVER! However, with this news we also have to let everyone know that it means we will not be coming to the reunion in August. Yes Kelli, I know you said no excuses, but I think this one is a pretty good one. We wish we ould come, we have heard nothing but how great is is up there, so everyone will have to take pictures for us. Now that the word is out, Grandma can relax about it slipping.

Here are a few more pictures of the little guy!

Kaden is Uncle Landon's biggest fan!

Kaden loves to hide in any little space he can find!

Hiding under the tree was his favorite this year -- this is the only picture he would let us get!

The Santa hat he wore last year -- fits a little snug this year:)
Kaden continues to brighten our days. He never lets us forget how simply life is and reminds us often to stop and enjoy the little things. With that, we wish you all a very happy new year filled with many blessing!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!!!

I figured I better tell everyone that the moreys are planning on coming to the cabin next summer before we start get hounded by a bunch of irate relatives. Brian, Robbie, Audrey and myself will be there but you may have to hound the Volks And the other Morey family to find out what their plans are.

The kids always say how much they enjoy reading the family blog but I guess I'm the only one who sits down and sends pictures. I don't know if the kids are sending Christmas cards out to you all with thier latest news so I'll just fill you in on whats going on with us three.

Robbie finally got healed up from football in time for basketball. They originally said he wouldn't be able to play until after Christmas but I think the doctor got tired of hearing him beg so the day before their first game doctor told him to go ahead and play. Considering he didn't get much practice in he has had a pretty fair start to the year. The team is really young but they have started out 3 & 1 so far. Robbie was a unanimous selection to the all tournament team last week at the RoughRider tournament here in town. We thought it was nice but he said it was no big deal.

Audrey and I are doing fine. It seems like the weeks go by so fast waiting to see one or both of the grand kids on the weekends. Audrey took off a couple of days last week to spend with Christy, Cody and Matthew. I get jealous when she sees the kids more than me. She really has been busy getting her baking and cooking done because she says she wants to be able to spend as much time with the kids when their here as possible.

Everyone have a safe and Happy Holiday!!!

Merry Christmas And Happy New Year!!!!

I figured I better tell you to include the Moreys on the cabin weekend so I don't get hounded by a bunch of irrate relatives. You can count on Brian,Rob,Audrey and Terry but the Volks and the other Morey family you may have to harrass.

Everyone in the family says how much they enjoy the blog but I guess I'm the only one who will take the time to send some pictures. When I get done with the latest news I'll try to add some.

I don't know if the the kids are sending Christmas cards to everyone so I don't want to tell you all thier news so I'll just tell you about ours. We finally got Robbie healed up from football in time for basketball. The day before his first game the doctor gave into Robbie whining and said he could go ahead and play. He's been doing really well considering the doc said it may be another 6 weeks before the foot is fully healed. The team is pretty young since they lost all thier starters from last year. They have started the season out at 3 & 1 so I think they'll be ok. At the Trinity RoughRider Tournament last week Robbie was a unanimous selection to the all tournament team so I guess his season is starting out good. Audrey seems a little more relaxed at these games rather than football.

We're both doing fine. It seems like the weeks go by so fast when we know we will be seeing one or both of the grand kids on the weekends. Its nice seeing thier parents too... If the weather cooperates they all will be here for Christmas. The two kids are at the age where it will be a very interesting and enjoyable Christmas. Audrey has been baking for a month, so i told her the other night we may have to get another freezer just to store her baked goods in. she said she wanted to get everything done ahead of time so she can spend as much time as possible with the kids.

I better go do her dishes before she gets home from work since I promised I would. Everyone please have a safe and Happy Holiday.

Family Gathering

Hello all,

I am sure everyone is super busy getting the last minute preparations ready for Christmas. I just wanted to send out a little message regarding the family gathering.

At this point the Silvers, Koppingers, and Scott are all signed up to attend. We already checked into plane tickets this past weekend. As of now our plan is to fly into Minneapolis and drive from there. JJ, Jon and I are all planning to take the late flight out on Wednesday night and then either try to crash at Patti's house that night and get up early to drive to the cabin or drive to the cabin straight from the airport...that all has yet to be determined. We will be staying until Sunday and then catching a late flight home Sunday night. Mom and Scott are also going to be attending but they plan to probably stay a bit longer and are throwing around all sorts of crazy ideas like making it into a week trip and driving there with the camper, or flying into Duluth and staying longer that us. Who knows what they will decide...but they will be there for sure.

Cassie and I had a phone conversation the other night and decided that we all need to try and make these family gathering a priority. Sure it isn't as easy as meeting at Grandma's every Saturday and Sunday but we are still the same family and as time goes by and families expand it is just going to get harder and harder for all of us to get together. If you get any harrassing emails/phone calls from any other family member...just realize it is because we are really hoping we can get EVERYONE to attend!!

We have an awesome family who has created so many wonderful memories over the years...we need to make sure we keep expanding on those memories rather than just living in the past. Cassie had a great point we don't want to turn into one of those "Wedding and Funeral Families".

Anyways sorry for dragging this out. I hope everyone is on the same page. Request your days off now, plan your travel now, and get ready for an awesome family gathering in August!

NO EXCUSES WILL BE ACCEPTED!

Love you all!
Kelli

IF I PLAN IT, THEY WILL COME!!!

FAMILY REUNION
I just got off the phone with Jake. She said she was talking to Mary about the possible dates. Jake and I decided to set the Weekend of August 2nd as the date. People can come early, stay later, whatever, But we will set that weekend for getting as many of us as possible together at one time.

If this is a major problem, let me know immediately.

I am told that Jake is in charge of getting all the Aunts and Uncles there, and Kelli will harass the nieces and nephews. Todd, you are in charge of bear patrol.

Start reporting to me, if you plan to be part of the party. Since our numbers are increasing, Frank and I will check into renting the place on the point so we'll have more sleeping space.

Regan, Anna is certified in diving, so you'll have a diving partner, and Terry, she is also certified in diving rescue, just in case you fall off the pontoon.

Sorry Kelli, new pics upon request!!!

I know i have been slacking a little on the photos and thats my bad. High school basketball season has started so im pretty busy reffing games, i think i have about 40 varsity games this year. Things are going well in the Fisher household. Trae as you can see is growing like a weed and keeping us on our toes at all times. We have been passing around the flu and cold at our house but hopefully the end is near. Trae ended up in the ER about 2 weeks ago with the flu. He wasnt able to keep anything down for over 12 hours so we took him up and were told it was a good idea. He had to get an IV which was not pleasant for anyone. Two days later he had his 4 month check up and had to get his second round of shots. Lets just say he had a rough couple of days. But like a true trooper he is back to his normal self, smiling constantly and making even the worst days seem better. Trista is busy teaching school and would love to kill a few of her students in her last period class. There is only a couple weeks left in the quarter so hopefully she makes it through without any missing student reports. Well, without further ado, here are the newest pictures that Kelli and im sure the rest of you were waiting for. We hope everyone has a great Holiday season and if we dont see you, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Todd, Trista, and Trae

The Wait for Disney Tales Is Over!!

I know, I know--you've all been waiting with bated breath for me finally to finish posting all the photographs and tales from our family's recent Disney World vacation in Orlando, FL. Third time's a charm, there's not a snowballs chance in ...

As you all know, Arron successfully passed his driving test in August. He then was givin a '93 Purple Ford Taurus,

After driving that for a month or two, the head gaskets started leaking and the car was stalling from time to time. Needless to say, it would have cost more to fix than it was worth. Sooooo, Jerrett and I started car shopping, finding a Malibu for Jerrett to drive back and forth to work, and giving Arron our '98 pontiac Grand Am (Jerrett's old work car).

After driving this car, oh for about a week, Arron drove over a BIG rock on the way home from work one evening, in turn taking out the oil pan, and basically locking up the engine. So back to car shopping!!!! This time we figured that we tried giving Arron vehicles and it's time to buy his own. After a few days of shopping around and test driving numerous vehicles I decided on a 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue.

So, I'm hoping that this car will last at least through Arron's college years, I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Arron also attended Snowball this weekend, here he is with his date, Ashlee.

Both my boys went deer hunting this year, Jerrett did get his doe. Arron, unfortunately, did not fill his deer tags, maybe next year.

Hope everybody is doing well, we are just about done Christmas shopping, what a nice feeling. We are having Christmas with my family next Sunday, the 16th, so I had to get on the ball.

Can't wait to hear how about everybody's Christmas'
