Settling In

Hey everyone,

Sorry I haven't posted anything in awhile.  Our last couple of months have been crazy to say the least.  We moved into our new house the last weekend of July - we are absolutely loving it and slowly but surely trying to fill it up with stuff.  :)  We have lots of extra space and live about 3 to 4 minutes from my mom so please feel free to plan a trip out this way - we would love the company.

We currently have a landscaping company hired and they are trying like heck to get everything planted before winter - the good news is they were able to get all of our trees, plants, sprinkler system and rock work completed.  Now if it would just warm up and stop snowing long enough for them to lay our sod we would be in good shape.

Outside of everything going on with the house life has been very hectic so we are hoping that November will bring a wave of calm.  Unfortunately, the last camping trip of the season, Dodge broke his leg playing ball so we have made multiple trips to the vet for x-rays, casts, splints, etc.  The good news is they determined that he doesn't need surgery although they they think he will now limp on and off for the rest of his life.  :(  In addition to that, the weekend that my mom and Scott were visiting Patti and Frank we were all in our truck going out to dinner when a teenager ran a red light and hit us.  We were very thankful that JJ's truck is large in that we were all ok and walked away without even a scratch.  Unfortunately, that was not the case for the kid - although I have a feeling that he will probably be certain to be much more careful moving forward.  We definately had a few guardian angels watching over all of us that night.

Thanks to everyone who has posted Halloween pictures so far - too cute!  Kynnedi absolutely loved Halloween this year, from the fall festivals, to trick or treating, to the pumpkin carving (Mom, Scott, Jon, Val (Jon's Girlfriend), James (Val's little boy), JJ, Kynnedi and I all carved pumpkins together - I am not sure the chaos would properly describe what we had going on - but it was fun.

We are looking forward to the holidays arriving - we all must get better about posting on here more often.

All our love!
