I wish I could be there

Hello to everyone. I hope this message finds its way to all of you. Mom gave me instructions on how to do this over the phone, so I hope I do it right. I was just reading up on everyone and I am very sad that I can not make it for the reunion. Fargo is keeping me very busy, and I don't get much time off from work. For those of you that don't know I became the bar manager at the Sidestreet where I have been working the past 4 years. Now my bosses can get me to do all of their work whenever they want. I do love it though, and everyone has been real great while I learn all the management duties. Tori has gotten pretty comfortable with the idea of me being his boss...it definitely makes home life more interesting.

We are both doing well, trying to enjoy the summer while we can. We recently had our first big home renovation project. Tori bought a house a couple years ago, shortly before I moved in. It is an older house and needs a little bit of a face lift. However, Tori thought it would be better if our first project was one that would help get us outside when we do get days off. So we decided to build a deck. Tori's sister and her husband have a deck and fence building company so they took on our project. With it being a family business, we got the family discount on labor costs, but also get put aside when they have other projects. Its been a couple weeks in the making but it is getting closer to done everyday. I included some pictures cause I know m0m has been waiting to see what we have done. If anyone finds themselves in Fargo, you are more then welcome to stop by. We would be more than happy to grill you up something (since the grill made its way to the deck before it was even done!!).

I hope this message finds you all well. I hope the vacation is a good one for all of you, I can't really see it being anything but. I wish Tori and I could be there...maybe next year. I love you and miss you all.

Trae's 1st Birthday!!!

Well its in the books and we survived. Trae is officially 1 and we have every toy that makes noise to prove it. I need to talk to the Guiness Book of World Records but I'm pretty sure we would rank right up there in the category of most toys that make noise. We had a great day and the weather even cooperated. It was about 90 degrees with absolutely no wind (a little would have been nice) but it felt like about 120 degrees. As you can see in the pictures below, Trae thoroughly enjoyed his cake and needed to be pressure washed afterward. Overall, i think everyone had a great time and now its the countdown for number 2. Oh yeah, its also the countdown for Camp-Run-a-Muck. I have been working on my bear communicating skills so patty i think i can talk them into returning at least a couple of those missing hooded sweatshirts. We are looking forward to seeing you all in a couple of weeks. Take care and get those tans ready!!!

Directions to Camp Run-A-Muck - (updated

Directions with estimated miles:

Frank's advice would be to only use Pat's directions in conjunction with a good printed map (on-star and mapquest will try to get you to tour Duluth and Pat could take you on an unwanted tour of Wisconsin!).

I have given the easiest directions for those driving for the first time. Terry, you have been there before, and if you want to come into the cabin another way, I can give you that.

We have seen bear on almost every trip up this summer, so be on the lookout.

For those driving at night, the deer will be bad once you hit two lane roads.

Kelli, I will leave it up to you to get from the Airport to "35E" if you should need help, let me know.

Cell phone service is sporadic so just keep trying at different spots if necessary.

From North Dakota:

East on “Interstate 94” to St. Cloud

Just before St. Cloud connect “MN Highway 23” (North or East, you’ll be traveling North/East)

Stay on “MN Highway 23” until you hit “Interstate 35”
-est. St. Cloud to Interstate 35 70 miles

North on “Interstate 35” a short distance to Hinckley Exit 183

From St. Paul:

Take “Interstate 35E” North to Hinckley Exit 183 (Interstate 35E & 35W become just “35” when you get out of the cities)

For Everyone:

Right turn off Exit 183 onto Eastbound “MN Highway 48” (When you cross the St. Croix River, this Highway will become “WI Highway 77”)

Follow “WI Highway 77” East to Danbury
– Hinckley to Danbury est. 28 miles
(in the Town of Danbury, you will make a left turn and then about two or three miles, you will make a right turn to stay on 77 going East)

Continue on “WI Highway 77” through the town of Minong to “WI Highway 27” North.
-Danbury to Minong est. 30 miles
-Minong to WI Highway 27 est. 18 miles

North on “WI Highway 27” to Pease Road (You will be seeing signs for the Eau Claire Lakes as you come north. Pease Road will be a right turn only.
-est. 16 miles to Pease Rd

Follow Pease Road to Lyndale Bay Rd (This will be a left turn but the street sign will be on the right)
-est. 4 miles to Lyndale Bay Rd

Left onto Lyndale Bay Road and follow it till you see our name.
-est. just under l mile

Gettin my tan ready for the Lake!!

Here is Trae enjoying a nice sunny day in the backyard. He loves the pool and i tried to inform him that when he gets his REAL golf clubs, they will not float like these. He now thinks that being he is one week away from the ripe old age of ONE, that he makes his own decisions. Gee, i wonder which parent he picked that up from. We hope everyone had a good 4th of july weekend and we are itching to get out to Camp-Run-a-Muck. My dad and i are hoping Frank has scoped out some new golf courses to try. See you all in 3 weeks.
Todd

And in the Lead . . .

Look for a moment in the margin to the right. See the section called "LABELS"? Each time you write a post and include one of those in the label box at the bottom of your composing window, that post is added to the total of its corresponding label in that section to the right.

If you would like to catch up on the goings-on of a particular branch of the Morey family, you have only to click on that family's label to the right, and all those posts will be displayed for you. Handy, huh?

By the way, not that anyone in the Morey family is in any way competitive or anything, but does anybody else notice a distinct "lead" in the number of posts by a branch of the family? It looks like some people have some catching up to do . . .

P.S. Camp Run-a-Muck, are you ready for us?!

Plans...for those of us coming from Colorado

Woohoo...we are all very excited about the quickly approaching family gathering. We can't wait to see everyone and enjoy some nice relaxing days while drinking a cold one!! :)

Jake and Scott will be arriving early the morning of Tuesday, July 29th. They will need for someone to pick them up at the airport and drive them to the cabin. If this is going to be a problem we need to know asap so we can get another rental car booked. Jon and I will be arriving mid-day on Wednesday, July 30th. We will be picking up a rental car and waiting for JJ to arrive (he doesn't get in until 10pm) as well as Cassie and Nick. We are planning on driving to the cabin that night so we can have several full days to enjoy family and fun. We will then be leaving on Sunday (mid-day) to drive back and catch our flights home. Jake and Scott fly back on Monday.

Quick question...what is it going to take to convince all of you non-confirmed parties to attend? We are ok with bribery just let us know what it is that you need! :) Seriously we hope to see everyone there! Also...great news...I just exchanged text messages with Lee and he informed me that he and Shantelle are planning to attend they are just not sure the exact dates yet!

Lots of love,
Kelli

Got Him Working!!

Here is a picture of Trae at my shop sitting on one of the mowers that we use. It looks like he's ready to start working and it also looks like he gets just about as much use out of it as I do. This is also one of the very few times you will see him without a smile.

Have a Great Weekend!!!

HAS SUMMER ARRIVED??

Hi everyone....

I decided I needed to share some recent pictures. Here in Colorado we are a little confused on it Summer has really arrived yet or not. On our first camping trip to Wyoming we woke up on Saturday morning to just under a foot of snow. We also ventured to Wyoming over Memorial Weekend and the weather was far from perfect. With the cold weather we haven't done any wakeboarding yet with the exception of JJ and one of his friends. The fishing as been great...the best we have seen in years.

Also to keep everyone in the loop Jon is now officially a resident of Colorado. His first day at his new job is today. He is renting an apartment in Greeley, CO which is about an hour and 15 minutes from Parker.

We hope to see everyone at the Dutke's cabin. Remember...no excuses will be excepted other than being too pregnant to travel. (We will miss you Laura, Brian, Caden and new baby to be)

Love to all from Colorado!

Morey-Camp Run-A-Muck

I just thought I would show everyone the response I got from the GANG when I was telling them what their grandma does at the camp. I still haven't convinced them that they need to see it in person but I'll keep trying. Any help would be appreciated.

We're looking forward to seeing everyone there. I would apreciate it if the pontoon was sea ready by the time I get there because it might not be by the time I leave. Everyone take care.

Mother's Day Weekend

Here are a few photos I thought I would share. For mother's day (the day before the last day of my internship) everyone visited the zoo and got to meet the animals. The picture of the boys are on a different camera so I'll upload those later. I told Mary, John and Joe that they are in charge of planning next year's mothers day - we'll have to see if they can top this:) I hope everyone is doing well! I am looking forward to summer now that finals are over and all I have left is senior week events before graduation next weekend.

Make a Memory @ Morey-Camp Run-a-Muck!

I thought it is time that everyone start declaring their intention of attending the Family Reunion. I need the stress of planning.

Some early returns, indicate: Cassie & Nick, Susan & Kevin +3, Cheryl, Jerrett & Arron, Jake, Scott, Kelli, JJ, & Jon, Terry & Audrey, Robbie & Brian, Mary & Dale, Lisa, Regan +3, Kathy & Pat, Todd, Trista & Trae, Tina & Craig, Pat & Frank, Mary, John, Anna & Joe

I know plans change and I may have missed someone who replied, but if we could get an idea of the numbers, it would help.

If anyone has good idea's on how to handle meals, let's start the discussion. I can buy all of the food, if you tell me what items are needed. We have a good assortment and sizes of life Jackets for kids and most adults (and have access to Ricks).
Love to everyone!

9 Months and On the Go!!!

Well, here are some new pictures of Trae who turned 9 months old last Saturday. He has been army crawling for quite some time, but just recently starting crawling. He only goes a couple of feet and then plops back down to his army crawl, but he seems to be getting better at it. It seems that every day we have to put something else up higher because he gets into it. Trae has always loved bathtime and most recently loves the swimming pool. Trista works wednesday nights at the Comfort Inn (so if you need a cheap room she can get it), so Trae and I make our weekly trip up there to swim. School is winding down for Trista and she is currently getting things ready for prom. My busy season is just about to begin, but if we don't get any moisture i may not have to worry much. We hope everyone is enjoying spring and looking forward to summer. We can't wait to see everyone at the lake in August. We might have to celebrate a litte more that weekend being someone I know will be turning 30 the following weekend. Take care and Have a Great Weekend!!!

This is Trae's famous "O" face. He does it a lot even though he's not sure what he's "O"ing at.

Hello Everyone!!!

Trae at the Comfort Inn in his new boat. This is about the only boat we can afford!!!

Trae and his cousin Rylan in Aberdeen, SD last weekend. This was his first bike ride and seemed to enjoy it. . . after the first 15 seconds that is!!!

Trae and his first swing on the swingset. Just like his cousing Kaden, he loved it!!!!

Trae and his uncle Mitchell (Trista's brother), we are not sure what was said.

Trae playing with Rylan's floor puzzle. He was more interested in how it tasted rather than putting it together.

Just reading the manual for my new ride!!!

Playing with my new Tonka trunk that Grandma and Grandpa gave me for Easter!!!
